How to Prolong Life (By: Dayna Saba)

Janos Selye says, “the biggest stress is trying to be somebody other than ourselves,” and “if you want to live a long life, focus on making contributions." 

Our energy is powerful and everything has a frequency - our food, our water, our thoughts --  and it can affect the energy within us and around us. It’s not just about positive thinking or affirmations but more so about going on the ride that life is taking you on and showing up in your own energy to heal, grow and thrive through it. You see, more than likely we are all being tested in one way or another. We all have good and bad days and sometimes our energy is going to be thrown off. 

We’re made to be connected to one another, to be energetic beings having a human experience. But what happens when our energy gets over-loaded by collecting the energies of others? What happens when we’re thrown off balance and living in the energetic and emotional state of others? What happens when stress becomes too much? 

Reiki is a great way to "tune-up" your energy field, in addition to the support of other holistic and medical practitioners. Reiki was founded in Japan as early as the 1900s by Makao Usui and was brought to the West in the 1930s by Hawayo Takata. We use Reiki as a way of healing our energetic bodies (the chakra system), and to help with stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.

Each one of us is incredibly unique and a piece to the greater puzzle. By being authentic, flowing in our own energy, and being one with nature, we can flow through the internal adaptive cycle: the breakdown, the release, the reorganization and the growth.  

The contribution is you -- you in your full form, as your authentic self, being in your highest frequency and feeling most aligned with who you are (not who you might think you’re "supposed to be" by the standards of society). At the core, we are all love and for that we must contribute more love to the Earth, each other, and ourselves.
